John Hudson is a type designer and founder, with Ross Mills, of Tiro Typeworks, located on a chain of islands off the west coast of Canada. Specializing in custom fonts for multilingual publishing and computing, he has made types for Cyrillic, Devanagari, Ethiopic, Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Thai and other scripts. He is a member of the Canadian Advisory Committee on encoded character sets, and a contributing expert to the Unicode Consortium.
