Adobe Story Plus
Plan your next video production with Adobe® Story Plus software, the essential scriptwriting, scheduling, and preproduction solution that integrates with your post-production workflow. Story is ideal for screenwriters, writing teams, assistant directors, production managers, and editors who want a powerful, full-featured, collaborative solution that saves time and money during production. As you write a script, Story automatically applies industry-standard formatting, letting you concentrate on your narrative. Story also creates metadata from script elements such as characters, locations, and times of day so your script can become the blueprint for your production. You can leverage this metadata for production schedules and reports and for post-production in Adobe Premiere® Pro CS6 software.

Language version availability
Adobe Story Plus is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Once you purchase your subscription, you can change your language preference in the Preferences menu at any time.
Purchasing a subscription
You may purchase a subscription to Adobe Story Plus through the Adobe Store. Simply choose a one-year or month-to-month subscription, add it to your shopping cart, and check out. Your credit card will then be automatically charged for your subscription fee (plus tax) at the beginning of each subscription term until you cancel your subscription. You may cancel at any time by contacting Adobe Customer Service. The terms of your subscription are governed by the Terms of Use. Please review these terms before purchase. By adding an Adobe Story Plus subscription to your shopping cart, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms of Use.
Subscription activation
Once you purchase your Adobe Story Plus subscription, go to the Story site and sign in. Your subscription purchase will be reflected in your account details, which are accessible by choosing More > Settings & Preferences. You will be able to start using your subscription immediately. Remember, you must use the same Adobe ID to purchase the subscription as you use to sign in to your Adobe Story Plus account.
Updating payment information
You will receive an email message from Adobe if your credit card is about to expire or in case of a payment error due to outdated information. You may update your credit card information and billing address by visiting My Adobe on Adobe.com and clicking “My subscriptions and services.” After you sign in, go to Your Subscriptions and click "Update payment info" next to the subscription you would like to update.
Canceling a subscription
When you purchase a subscription to Adobe Story Plus, the Adobe Store automatically charges your credit card for your subscription fee each month if you have a month-to-month subscription or each year if you have a one-year subscription. You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting My Adobe and clicking “My subscriptions and services.” After you sign in to your account, go to Your Subscriptions and click "Cancel subscription" next to the subscription. Your subscription will remain active until the next payment due date, when the subscription will stop. Your credit card will not be charged again. If you would like to cancel service and have your service and account terminate immediately without waiting until the end of the term, contact Customer Service.

Q. What is Purchase and Download?
A. Macromedia Online Store customers can choose to purchase the download version of Macromedia products. This lets you download the product and start using it right away. At any time after that, you may return to your Online Store account to resume a download or re-download your products.
Q. Can I order the software CD in addition to the online product download?
A.You will be given the option of adding the software CD after you add the download version to your shopping cart. Product manuals are available in the Books section of the Online Store.
Q. How does Purchase and Download work?
A. Add the download version of the software you want to your shopping cart. You will have the option to add the Backup software CD for a few extra dollars.
After completing the purchase, you will see the Download Your Products link that takes you to the
Download Center. You can download your product immediately or at a later time. (See instructions below for more details.)
Sign in to Your Account at the Macromedia Worldwide Store at any time to download, resume a download, or re-download your purchased software and retrieve your product serial number. (See instructions below for more details.)
Q. How long does it take to download a product?
A. It is difficult to determine the exact amount of time it takes to download a file. There are many factors that can affect the download speed, such as connection type and network traffic. However, here are estimated download times for different sized files and typical connection type. Keep in mind that these are rough estimates and that your actual download time may vary. Post-Purchase Download Instructions
How to download software:
1. To download immediately after you complete the purchase process, look on the Thank You screen for the Download Your Products link and click it. This will take you to Your Downloads.
To download at any other time, follow these additional steps:
- Go to http://www.macromedia.com.
- On the top navigation bar, click Your Account.
- Sign in to Your Account. If you do not remember your password, follow the directions on the page.
- Click the Your Downloads link.
2. On the Your Downloads page, locate the product you wish to download and click the Download button to begin downloading. If you have previously downloaded from the Macromedia Worldwide Store, the download process will begin automatically.
If this is your first time downloading from the Macromedia Worldwide Store, you will be prompted to download the Preview Download Manager first. Follow these steps:
When the Save As window appears, save the Preview Download Manager file to the desktop by choosing Desktop from the pop-up window.
After you download the file, an icon with a large yellow V will appear on the desktop. Double-click the large yellow V icon on your desktop and begin downloading your product.
3. Once the download process is complete, Windows users will see the serial number on the screen. Mac OS users will need to click the View Slip button to see the serial number. The "Thank you for your purchase" message will appear.
4. Write down the serial number. You will need it to install your product. Note: You can retrieve your serial number at any time from the Your Downloads area. (See directions below.)
5. To begin the installation process, click Launch.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
How to re-download software:
Sign in to Your Account at the Macromedia Worldwide Store at any time to re-download your purchased software. Just follow the instructions given above for downloading your software. If you have exceeded the maximum number of downloads allowed, click Request More Installations to request additional downloads.
How to retrieve your serial number:
(Note: The product serial number will not appear in the Your Downloads area until you've initially downloaded the product.)
1. Go to http://www.macromedia.com.
2. On the top navigation bar, click Your Account.
3. Log in to your account. If you do not remember your password, follow the directions on the page.
4. Click Your Downloads on the navigation bar.
5. You can choose to see a list of all your purchased downloads by product or by order date, with the corresponding serial number for each product.
Additional Information
You may need to know the location of the installer files for troubleshooting purposes. After download, the files are located on the hard disk in the C:\Windows\Vbox\Installers\ (Windows 95/98/2000) or C:\WinNT\Vbox\Installers\ (Windows NT) directories, or on the desktop (Mac OS).
