David Siegel earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master's degree in digital typography from Stanford. In 1985, he assisted Hermann Zapf in the production of the Euler typeface for the American Mathematical Society. In addition to the Adobe® Original typeface, Tekton®, he has also designed Graphite® and Eaglefeather™. In the mid-1990's he collaborated with Hermann Zapf in the production of Zapf's typeface, Linotype Zapfino™. David no longer designs typefaces, and is now an internationally recognized authority on internet strategy. His 1999 book, Futurize Your Enterprize, was on the BusinessWeek bestseller list and has been translated into eight languages. His 1996 book, Creating Killer Web Sites, is the longest running bestseller on Amazon.com, and has been translated into 15 languages. He has also written Secrets of Successful Web Sites, a guide to project management for new media. David played a key role in the evolution of design standards on the Web. In 1995, he received a “Top-100” multimedia producer award from Multimedia Producer Magazine
