This is the first type design by Yugoslavian calligrapher Jovica Veljovic, who created this crisp, lively text typeface for the International Typeface Corporation in 1984. Its calligraphic heritage is apparent in the energetic weight stress, animated bowls, and spiky terminals. Full counters and strong serifs aid readability. The typeface has classic proportions, with large x-heights and ascenders that exceed the cap height. Use ITC Veljovic for books, headlines, and advertising.
