Named after the German Renaissance astronomer, Kepler is a contemporary type family created by Adobe type designer Robert Slimbach in the tradition of classic modern 18th-century typefaces. Traditionally, modern typefaces are known for their cool intellectual quality, but Slimbachs Kepler captures the modern style in a humanistic manner. It is elegant and refined with a hint of oldstyle proportion and calligraphic detailing that lends it warmth and energy.
This face is designed for a text size of 72.0 points and can be used from 23.0 to 72.0 point size. Other faces in the same family are designed for larger and smaller point sizes. Please see Adobe Type Optical Sizes for a discussion of the use of fonts designed for different optical sizes.
